Hi Everyone,
Many of you snapped up Campo Alle Comete’s Bolgheri earlier this year, and even more of you are likely to go long on todays 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Toscana IGT.
The wine is drop-dead delicious (let’s just say that this bottle emptied faster than the Haut Bailly last night for a reason).
It costs almost nothing.
With old world charm yet plenty of fruit, it is as critically acclaimed as you’ll find in the category.
“On the nose, tart blackberries and black plums are balanced by the spicy warmth of green and black peppercorn and tea leaf. The palate adds nuance with sweet, cool notes of berries, damp earth and mixed herbs, beneath a dusting of salt and pepper that sets up a bright, acidic, salty finish.” – 95 points, Danielle Callegari, Wine Enthusiast
You can ignore the $99 review price which must be a typo and is sort of funny. $19.30 is more like it.
Nothing more needs to be said – Everyone reading this will be hard pressed to find a more engaging bottle of old-world Cabernet Sauvignon than today’s spectacular example from Campo Alle Comete.
