For a French Vigneron, winning the “Coup de Cœur” from Guide Hachette is a serious life achievement. In the words of our own John Griffin, “think of it as the equivalent of winning an Oscar in your category.”

You can begin with your ironic references about Vincent Wengier looking like a film star (yes, here is to you Peter Moore!), but today’s accomplishment is a very very big deal for this young/upcoming vigneron in the sleepy village of Prehy.

“A 27-hectare family estate located in the village of Préhy, in the heart of the Chablis vineyards taken over in 1998 by Vincent Wengier and his wife Sophie. The organic conversion has been underway since 2020. Righteousness, purity, liveliness: the three pillars of this exceptional Chablis.
