Gorman Winery 2021 The Devil Makes Three Chris Gorman is the highly respected owner and winemaker at Gorman Winery in the northeast Seattle suburb of Maltby. After graduating from college in 1991, Chris spent three years working for a small Italian importer. His philosophy was, and still is, “to make wine, it is imperative to understand it.” So, for the next decade, he traveled extensively in the wine areas of Italy, Spain, and Germany before returning home and establishing Gorman Winery in 2002. “This bursts with easygoing flavors of fresh red currant and cherry that are laced with toasty mocha and spice notes, finishing with fleshy tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. Drink now through 2030. ” -Tim Fish, Wine Spectator
Anciano NV 3 Year Valdepenas Crianza Aged for three years in the cellars of Bodegas Navalón in the small DO Valdepeñas, located at the heart of Spain. Bodegas Navalón has been the passion of the same local family for several generations. It specializes in producing classic, oak-aged Spanish red wines that are only released when they have reached the peak of perfection. The Tempranillo grapes were hand-picked in late August/early September from 30-year-old vines in stony Valdepeñas vineyards. Intense aromas of red fruits with balsamic hints of vanilla and spice. A well-balanced, rounded palate shows similar fruit and vanilla flavors with an intense finish.

Quinta da Romaneira 2019 Douro “Sino da Romaneira” The 1,100 acre spread of Quinta da Romaneira is widely considered one of the Douro Valley’s most breathtaking estates. The winery began producing port in 1872, but was not legally allowed to bottle under its own name until 1986 when DO changes gave single quintas the authority to do so. The Sino, meaning “bell” in Portuguese, pays homage to Romaneira’s history by referencing the bell that hangs above the door of the quinta. Beautiful open red color. Fine and delicate nose. Soft ripe red fruits on the palate. Well balanced, fresh and harmonious. Incredible with chimichurri lamb.

Perfect with cranberry sauce and herb filled dishes.
Chateau Courac 2021 Cotes du Rhone The village of Laudun has joined the circle of AOCs—headlined by Gigondas, Vacqueyras, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape—that occupy the top rung of the Rhône quality ladder. From Laudun, this is an astonishing value, delivering deep red- and black fruit that prompted our wine team to declare it “a Côtes du Rhône that’s a cut above others” at our tasting panel. Our enthusiasm is backed by an impressive 95-point score from Decanter’s World Wine Awards.
