Château de Mauny 2022 Rose de Loire  We came across Château Mauny’s Cremant during a trip in the Loire several years ago. The vineyard located west of Brissac-Quincé was acquired by the Brault family at the end of the 18th century, who have been running the estate ever since. In 1951, they were among the first winegrowers to create the Brissac cooperative with whom they are associated. Today, the family produces a wide range of Anjou AOC wines and is strongly committed to sustainable agriculture and biodiversity conservation. Made with Cabernet Franc, Grolleau & Gamay, this rose is ready for summer, with aromas of crushed strawberries and rose petals. The attack on the palate is fresh with a nice balance. Perfect for patio sipping!

Domaine Clos Lumières 2022 Côtes du Rhône Rosé  Domaine le Clos des Lumières is a 50-hectare, family farm founded in 1946 by the grandfather of the domain’s current vigneron, Gerald Serrano.  The ambitious and talented Gerald Serrano is solely responsible for the recent “coming out” of this estate – Prior to taking things over in 2003 Gerald’s father was selling all grapes on the estate to the local cooperative. This is a perennial rosé value over here – Superb balance and gorgeous texture.

Orso 2022 Orso IGP Ile de Beauté Rosé  Orso IGP Ile Beauté Rosé is made from Sciaccarelu, a native Corsican variety which literally means Crunchy. Orso means “Bear,” a traditional first name for boys in Corsica. According to ancient beliefs the name will protect them from evil. The wine that carries the Orso label is a collaboration between les Vignerons d’Aghione, a Corsican wine cooperative and Adionis, a boutique wine and spirit agency that represents more than 70 select estates in France and around the world. Les Vignerons d’Aghione is a 700-hectare winery founded in 1975 by 12 wine-producing families. The Orso vineyard has sandy soils composed of alluvium. Light and very filtering soils offer excellent drainage allowing the production of fresh and elegant white wines.

Barrigon 2022 Garnacha Rosado  The winery was founded in 2020 by Xaime Niembro, who, after making mezcal for 10 years in Oaxaca, decided to continue to explore the diverse range of ingredients that Mexican soil could offer and the endless possibilities of creating delicious beverages from them when approached from a strictly natural style. In his opinion, there is no other approach that respects the planet and is beneficial to the people who consume the wine – the two points most important to him. “Barrigón” is the word in Spanish for someone with a big belly! This struck them as a great name because everything that goes to your belly should make you feel happy, it should be something you enjoy. Reg. $58/bottle!!

Domaine Bigonneau 2021 Reuilly Rosé  Located between Méreau and Brinay and isolated in the middle of the fields of cereals, Domaine Gerard Bigonneau vinifies both AOC Quincy and Reuilly. 100% Pinot Gris – this wine produces a light, salmon colored Rose which is typical of the grape in Reuilly. Grown from soils with a high content of limestone, which imparts minerality and produces a crisp and refreshing Rose.

Reserve de Marande 2022 Cinsault Rosé  The Réserve de Marande range offers seductive and generous wines, produced in southern France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon and Gascony region. One of our favorite value roses – this particular Cinsault was crafted from perfectly matured grapes to create a fruity rosé that will bring the Mediterranean sun into your glass!

by Jeff Carrel 2020 Villa des Anges Rosé  This 2020 rose is drinking like a fresh vintage! Villa des Anges Old Vines Rosé is crafted by winemaker Jeff Carrel at the Espitalet des Anges domaine in Capestang. Situated on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, the domain is owned by Jaqueline Menard de Ginestous, who married-into and is herself from a prominent Languedocienne wine-growing family. A light-bodied wine, intensely crisp and vividly fresh, it offers complex aromas of strawberries and red currants, with a hint of quince. As an aperitif, it is the perfect warm weather gulper!

La Coste 2021 Provence Lisa Rosé  La Coste is a winery, art center, and resort in Southern France, about 20 kilometers north of Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Covering some 200 hectares, the estate boasts a wine-making tradition dating back to Roman times, in a remarkable setting featuring vineyards, cypresses, stone pines, olive trees, and oaks. The estate we see today originated in 2003 when Irish art collector and real-estate entrepreneur Patrick McKillen bought the property, converting it into a center dedicated to “Wine, Art, and Architecture.” This is a delicious, thirst quenching rose – yet delicate and elegant. Pale in color, it is light, crisp and zesty, offering flavors of citrus, pink grapefruit, peach and raspberry with a long and refreshing finish.

Montelliana 2022 Prosécco “Meliora” Brut Rosé  At the foot of Coilli Asolani stands Cantina Montelliana, a cooperative of 400 growers focused on the production of Prosecco, and a known regional leader in the Asolo category. The company was founded in the mid 1950’s, and member holdings amount to 650 hectares of vineyard land. This is one of the most impressive cooperatives we’ve come across in Italy in terms of the engagement and passion of its members/growers, and also in terms of the unusually high quality of its finished wines. This rare sparkling rose prosecco has a persistent perlage obtained from grapes harvested exclusively in the DOCG area of Valdobbiadene. It has a typical fruity bouquet and a distinctive, pleasant and mildly sweet taste. Pleasantly lightweight and low in alcohol, a versatile wine to start and finish a meal, or add a little sparkle at any time of the day.

Pamponette NV Grapefruit Rosé  Adding a bit of grapefruit juice to your rosé wine started decades ago in Provence and is all the rage in Paris’ bars right now – We’ve put this cuvee together with some winemaker friends living in France’s Roussillon region. Yes, it has 100% grapefruit juice! We serve this ice-cold, often before dinner, but it is fantastic with spicy foods, and also makes an interesting cocktail base! Serve over ice with sparkling water!

Domaine de Thulon 2022 Beaujolais Villages Rosé  This farm is located on the old estate of Château de Thulon (15th century) and was purchased by Annie and René Jambon in 1987 after they were “métayers” for 20 years there.  Their children Carine and Laurent are now running the estate, and a passion for experimentation sets them apart from peers in the region. Their wines are some of the best values in French wine we’ve come across in the last decade, and here we have a very proper old-vine Beaujolais-Villages rosé! From vines that sit atop gravel, this is pink wine with mineral backbone!

Les Hauts Plateaux 2022 Rosé Alpes de Haute Provence  This Rosé is produced from traditional regional grapes, including Syrah, which gives the wine its structure and its color. Like the other wines classified from this area, Les Hauts Plateaux must meet strict specifications: the wines must first be originated from a plot located on the departments of Alpes de Haute Provence, and its production must meet a maximum yield of 90 hectoliters per hectare. Salmon color, possessing great intensity on the nose (gooseberry), aromas of red berries, with a scent of violets. Supple in texture, and easy to drink.

Thank you for your continue support.
